Links
Below is a list of links to the websites of companies I most commonly use while gaming in the realm of Haldane and other campaign settings. Each is extremely useful and represents an impressive showing in its respective area of gaming.
Dungeons & Dragons
Regardless of whether you hate them or love them, Wizards of the Coast makes the D&D game, and that alone gives them a presence in the industry. Their webpage is well designed and loaded with content and information.
Goodman Games
The phrase “Do one thing and do it right” doesn’t completely apply to this company, which was founded by Joseph Goodman, but it does come close. While they do make other gaming products, Goodman Games is most known for their Dungeon Crawl Classics line of adventures. The quality of their DCC products is exceptional.
Dundjinni
I stumbled across Dundjinni’s map-making software several years back at Gen Con. Without a doubt, it is an invaluable tool for adventure design. With Dundjinni it is possible to make maps that contain an incredible level of detail. Their website always contains free artwork that can be added to your Dundjini installation, and their forums are loaded with ready-to-print maps of all kinds!
OpenRPG
OpenRPG is an Internet application that allows people to play Role Playing Games in real-time over the Internet. OpenRPG is free, open source software, distributed under GNU/GPL license.
Yes, the above is canned text from their website, but it really says it all. OpenRPG works, and it's free! What more is there to say?
Elfwood
Elfwood is touted as being the "World's Largest Site for SciFi/Fantasy Art and Fiction", and a quick search will prove that claim correct. While the skill levels of the artists and authors posting their works varies greatly, it's almost always possible to find something of interest here.
